Morishima Sake Brewery was founded in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and its founder, Michimasa Morishima, began brewing sake in the Abukuma Mountains, a region blessed with underground water and abundant rice. Overcoming wars and earthquakes, the company has developed products such as ``Taikan,'' which was born from its relationship with painter Yokoyama Taikan, and a new brand, ``Morishima.'' We pursue high-quality sake brewing through contract cultivation with local farmers and obtaining master brewer qualifications. In recent years, ``Taikan'' has been adopted as JAL's in-flight sake, and its taste has been widely praised, and the company continues to take on new challenges on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.
